Female Dog, Dachshund

Dachshund / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Rescue Dachshunds. Look around and read their bios. Find a few whose personality seems to fit well. Consider one of our Well Seasoned Seniors who are truly wonderful and have so much to offer. Need help finding the best fit? We'll help with that too. Please fill out an application and let’s get you all matched up with a loving new “furever’ companion and friend. You’ll find the application on the “Available Dogs” page. NOTE: Adoptions to Central/South Texas residents only Please see FAQs for current adoption fees. DDRTX only adopts in Central/South Texas. Email: [email protected] Primary Website: www.DDRTX.org Leah is known to be a wife of Jacob, although she’ll never admit to being that old. So, we’ll just say she’s about 10 (a number she’s happy with). Her name can be interpreted as “delicate” or “weary”. And she is both, at least at first. But once she becomes comfortable with her new situation…well you better make sure she can’t reach anything with food or a decent scent. If you were to take a bag of chips and fill the empty space with her love, she would crush the chips in the bag, and it will fill up more with her love. Let’s be honest, she’d then eat the chips. She is part Dachshund after all. Leah is a sweet girl. It may take her a while to open up, but when she does you will see that tail do it’s thing and those ears will perk right up. She is quite loving to her human and fellow pups. Leah responds well to treats, loves walks, and can be quite stubborn (you know, Dachshund). If you feel you have room in your life for a 4-legged love bug, fill out that adoption paperwork. Leah does not disappoint!
