Rose is the perfect example of blooming where you’re planted. She came to us as a stray on 4/4/24 after her owner was evicted. Unfortunately, she was never reclaimed. That’s a hard thing for any dog to go through, but Rose hasn’t let it get her down. She’s maintained a calm, good girl persona and is hoping someone new will fall in love with her soon. She's now been hoping for over a year. Rose is a bit of an ear-model—they're expressive, silly, and sometimes neatly folded like a little hat on her head. Her fur is soft and silky, much more so than it looks, and she truly hopes that encourages you to pet her a little longer. She thrives on gentle affection and human connection, even if she plays it cool at first. In the play yard, Rose likes to show off her independent streak. She’ll run and sniff, explore on her own, and invite you to play with a flirtatious little chase. When she’s had her fun, she’ll calmly let you leash her again and enjoy a quiet moment being pet. Rose has a medium energy level and is happy to make her own fun. She’s not demanding or needy, but she still longs for companionship and a quiet, stable place to land.
