Hi there! I'm Lucky, about 1 year old and a Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix with a whole lot of potential. I came to the shelter on 4/7/25 after my old home just wasn't the right fit turns out, I wasn't quite the best playmate for the kiddo there. I am currently in a foster home and enjoying being out of the shelter while I wait for my furr ever family. I'm looking for a family who's ready to be my cheerleader, helping me settle into a calm, loving home where I can really shine. I'm house and crate trained, and I get along well with other dogs (but a meet and greet is always a good idea to make sure we're buds). Do you work from home and need an office buddy? Or are you looking for a house-trained friend to greet you every day when you come home? I'm your man! I not only get along well with dogs, but I also enjoy the company of cats, kids over 7 years old, and chickens! I'm neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative! I have been searching for my furr ever home for 180 days as of 10/04/2025 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! Since I am in a foster home, meet and greets wil be by approved application only. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
