Male Dog, American Pit Bull Terrier
American Pit Bull Terrier / Pointer / Mixed
Description:
Meet Ajax! Ajax is a 2-year-old, 55-pound Pit Bull/Pointer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was recently surrendered due to unexpected changes in his owner's living situation and is now ready for a fresh start with a family who will love him for life. Ajax is adventurous, friendly, and outgoing. He's housebroken and crate trained, very smart, and loves to cuddle just as much as he loves to play. He enjoys being around people, does well with children and cats. He would thrive in an active home that can give him attention, structure, and plenty of playtime. Ajax was diagnosed with a Grade 3/6 heart murmur in January. This is considered moderate and simply means his veterinarian hears some extra sound when listening to his heart. Many dogs with this level of murmur live normal, happy lives. It will just be important for his adopter to keep up with routine vet visits so their veterinarian can continue to monitor it over time. His adoption fee is $125. Ajax is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination, DHPPC vaccine, Bordetella, and heartworm negative. If you're ready to meet this sweet, energetic, and affectionate boy, please submit an adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email [email protected]. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
