Meet Mateo, a charming Norfolk Terrier mix with a gentle heart and so much love to give. Born on March 11, 2025, and weighing 16.5 pounds, Mateo is a sweet boy who is just beginning to discover what it means to be part of a family. Mateo came from a home with 29 dogs where he was well cared for, but he didn’t have many opportunities for socialization. Because of this, the world is still a big, new place to him. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with a bit of patience and kindness, he warms up quickly and begins to show his affectionate, loyal nature. He’s also learning the basics like walking on a leash and building confidence in new situations. Mateo will thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s willing to give him the time and encouragement he needs to blossom. Watching him grow more confident each day is incredibly rewarding. Mateo is ready to find a loving family who will help him continue his journey and show him just how wonderful life can be. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.
