Male Dog, German Shepherd Dog

German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and other core vaccinations. Please complete an adoption application at https://www.asvtexas.org/adoption-application.html.NOTE: $100.00 of Tripp's adoption fee has been sponsored; his adoption fee is now $150.00. Meet Tripp (short for Tripod), a three-legged German Shepherd mix, about 5 years old and 55lbs. Tripp was hit by a car and his best outcome was to have his left front leg amputated. But don’t let his disability or age fool you, Tripp is a puppy at heart! He is silly and playful and runs around the farm helping out with chores. When the work is done you will find Tripp snoozing on the couch. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. He has the cutest squeal when he's excited to see you! Tripp gets along with my young son as well as our two female dogs (with proper introductions). He has not been cat tested but does show some prey drive with my chickens, although he will listen when I tell him no. Tripp is leash-, potty- and crate-trained. He is a very good boy looking for a home to be so spoiled in. ASVT does not have a facility; all of our adoptable pets live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted. No one takes a salary so all donations and grants are used for the rescue animals.
