Female Dog, Black Mouth Cur

Black Mouth Cur / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

FUN-LOVING AND ENERGETIC PUP DOB 12/1/23, WEIGHT 25 pounds at 4 m/o (~55 pounds expected at maturity) Hey there, everyone! I’m Biscuit, a super-sweet, happily effervescent brindle-fawn Black Mouth Cur mix gal who just loves everybody and therefore craves to maximize my time with all ages of hoomans! When I bat my sweet brown eyes at them, they know I’m expressing my eagerness to please them. I’m a fun-loving and energetic pup who enjoys playing with my foster family as well as entertaining myself with my toys. I’m a very good girl whose favorite chew toy right now is a dilapidated old Croc shoe. I’m a quick learner who is already leash-trained and obeys a few simple commands like “sit” and “no.” Although I haven’t mastered potty-training 100%, for the most part I’ve learned to be crate-trained. I know about cats, but they don't know about me. And, of course, I love food! In case you’re not familiar with the temperament of adult Black Mouth Curs, we’re big-hearted, versatile, brave, highly intelligent, and easily trainable (as long as training's consistent). We were bred for stamina and love to work, so it's best if you provide us with regular exercise such as daily long walks, Frisbee-throwing at the dog park, or participation in dog sports. When I’m full grown, I’ll have a strong, fit, athletic appearance and, like most athletic dogs, will flourish when both my mind and my body are stimulated. My rescue story is a sad one. My momma, 2 siblings, and I were dumped in a neighborhood in southwest Houston. Unfortunately, my momma didn’t survive being hit by a car, and my siblings evaded capture and disappeared. I wandered up a driveway to "surrender," so I was taken to BARC by a well-meaning neighbor. My fortunes changed, however, when another neighbor saw my photo on the BARC website, came and bailed me out, and took me home to foster me! Now I’m ready to find my happy-ever-after forever family. Could that be you? Hopefully my sad story has plucked your heartstrings, and my new lucky-leash on life will continue when you meet me and I capture your heart. If you’re ready to fall head over paws in love with me, arrange to meet me today! Be ready for me to cover your face with mushy puppy kisses! HOPE ID 24-0318-0010 If you are interested in Biscuit and would like to fill out a Dog Adoption Application, please go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php .
