~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later. Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: Ellie previously had a fracture in her front left leg that was successfully repaired. She also has Legg Perthes affecting her back left leg. While she may eventually require FHO surgery, she is currently too young for the procedure, and it doesn't seem to cause her much trouble at the moment. ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Ellie is an adorable pup, weighing in at about 10 lbs. She’s friendly, loving, and has a personality that lights up any room! With her stunning looks and captivating eyes, it’s hard not to fall in love with her. While Ellie is a fantastic little dog, she does have a unique quirk—she likes to be the alpha and will sometimes challenge other dogs in the home. Because of this, we believe she’d thrive best as the only dog in her forever home. Ellie is currently managing a condition called Legg Perthes, which may require FHO surgery in the future, but for now, her vet advises monitoring her as she is still quite young. This shouldn’t deter you from bringing this precious girl into your life! She walks beautifully on a leash and is kennel trained, making her a great companion for anyone willing to provide the structure and socialization she needs to flourish.
