Despite his past ordeal, he has bounced back with resilience and a heart full of affection.In his foster family, Johnny Cash has found a haven of love and companionship. His playful nature and affectionate demeanor make him a favorite among humans. He loves loves loves kids. He sleeps with his human foster sibling (11) and follows the youngest sibling (4) around like his best friend. Johnny also does well with canine members of the household. He has interacted with cats (separated by a cage) at the vet’s office and he was curious but one when one hissed at him, he just moved on to investigate the next one.Cutie Pie Johnny jumps like a kangaroo when excited which his foster momma says is hilarious. He can be a bit mouthy but a stern “no” and he stops. His protective nature towards his humans is evidenced by his alertness towards noises around the house and his loyalty towards his people. Any new person wanting to interact with the human kids will need to earn Johnny’s trust first. Once established, he will give a green light. With his family, he loves to curl up beside you or at the end of the bed at night. He is house trained and kennel trained and is very food motivated. He will go to the back door and bark when he needs to go outside. Leash training is ongoing as he is very strong and will pull.Still having puppy energy, he loves to play. He likes the soft toys with a squeaker and the hard sticks. Be sure to pick up those fun action figure toys (or anything else crunchy) as they have a funny way of ending up in John’s jaws!! He LOVES treats and will do his tricks the minute he sees you touch the treat bag.Johnny Cash is eager to embark on new adventures with a forever family.
