LOCATION: Flint, TXDOB: 01/07/2021Hello, my name is DeeJay. I’m a Great Dane mix with a sweet personality. I happily enter my kennel when asked to “kennel up” or “go in the hole,” and I’ll turn around and sit pretty, waiting for my biscuit, which I take very gently.Breakfast and dinner are two of my favorite times of the day. Weighing in at 94 pounds, I am surprisingly stealthy and can easily maneuver the back door and stairs to the yard. This is where I carefully keep an eye on all the squirrels (I have the cutest pointer stance!).I’m not much of a barker, but when I do bark, it’s loud and deep!I prefer a home without other males, but I’m a fan of friendly cats and laid-back females (or several, lol). Learning to accept pets, hugs, and love is my favorite daily activity. When napping or sleeping for the night, I prefer a pad or pillow—no blankets or extras, though, because I tend to tear them into tiny pieces. A good, strong chew toy or bully stick makes it even better.I’m great with kids ages 5 to 17, but I might knock over younger children when I get excited during my happy dance.I’m house trained and crate trained. However, I struggle with energy overload when my friend attaches a leash.
