This gentle Great Dane is on the lookout for a forever home, one filled with love, companionship, and maybe a few farm animals. He’s wonderfully social and gets along with dogs of all sizes, is respectful of cats, and fits right in with chickens, ducks, and turkeys. Horses make him a little cautious and he does need supervision around rabbits, but with a gentle correction, he’s quick to adjust.In his current home, Bronx shares a special bond with a 10-year-old boy, and it’s clear that kids hold a special place in his heart. He’s incredibly affectionate and prefers to be wherever his people are—whether that’s snuggled on the couch, curled up at your feet, or simply following you from room to room. Bronx is house-trained, not destructive, and doesn’t require a crate, even though his dog siblings use one.Like all of us, Bronx has his quirks. He suffers from separation anxiety and finds storms especially stressful, often seeking comfort in cozy blankets and the presence of someone he trusts. Mealtimes can be a bit of a frenzy, so he uses a slow feeder, and his stomach does best with Costco brand food. He’s not yet neutered, but that will be taken care of before he heads to his new family. While he can pull a little on walks, he’s making steady progress and learning with every outing.Bronx is a toy enthusiast, especially if it squeaks, but he’s not shy about destroying anything with stuffing. He often carries his favorite blankets around the house and sleeps either in his bed or wherever his favorite humans are.
