Description:
Rayla was rescued from a high-kill shelter as a puppy on November 9, 2024 , and has been patiently waiting in foster care ever since. Despite spending most of her young life in foster, this sweet girl is still searching for the loving family she deserves. Like many people, public places can be overwhelming for Rayla. She doesn’t always show her true personality at adoption events and may be shy, especially around men. But once she’s back in the comfort of her home and feels safe, she transforms into a happy, affectionate, and playful companion. Rayla has a joyful spirit that’s impossible not to love. Her full-body wiggles, wagging tail, and enthusiastic requests for belly rubs are her favorite ways of showing just how much she loves her people. She has a fun, upbeat personality that shines once she trusts you, and her adoring gaze says it all. Rayla has an old leg injury that likely occurred when she was a puppy. It healed in an abnormal position, and vets determined that correcting it would require a major surgery or amputation—neither of which is recommended since she isn’t in pain and has adapted remarkably well. While her gait may look a little different, it doesn’t slow her down. She enjoys running, playing, and rolling around in the yard. Rayla is a small-to-medium-sized adult dog, weighing around 40 pounds . She is crate trained, house trained, and spayed , making her ready to transition into her forever home.
