Weight: 63 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $1 - I am very special Fence needed? Absolutely. Finley has shone the tendency to bolt out doors or away when he is scared. A fenced in yard and diligent owner are what he's looking for. We have many dogs like Finley who come to us scared of the world. A fence helps them. What kind of home would be best for me? Interested in Finley? Text FINLEY to 864‑441‑9075 for more info, photos, and videos. What is my personality like? Finley has a sensitive soul and a tendency to bolt when scared, so a securely fenced yard and a steady, patient owner are essential. What he needs most is another dog in the home—canine companionship is key to his confidence and comfort. He’s just learning that indoor life, comfort, and love are good things, and having a calm, stable home with routine will help him thrive. Finley is almost two, fearful of leashes and car rides, but he’s making progress with gentle patience. He’s crate-trained, enjoys treats, and responds best in a predictable environment. Meeting new people can be intimidating at first, but with time and consistency, he blossoms into a sweet, loyal companion. How do I act when I first meet new people? When meeting new people, Finley can be very shy and shut down at first. In a familiar, predictable environment, however, he begins to relax and warm up—often becoming friendly within about a week. With his caregivers here he is all about love. Finley is a project waiting to give his heart to someone. Other tips and tidbits: Finley's birthday is 10/11/2024. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive — and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
