Male Dog, Poodle (Standard)

Poodle (Standard) (Long Coat)

Description:

Meet Rogue! Breed: standard poodle. Age: est 1.5-2 years. Weight: approx 55-60lbs. Training: crate & leash trained, doing well with housetraining in his foster home. He does pull on the leash when excited so does need more training. He knows sit, he is very food motivated, and eager to learn. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes. Good with adults/kids? Yes, although he doesn't know his size. He would do best in a home with kids older than 10 years. Personality: friendly, playful, and affectionate. Reason for rescue: Rogue was originally rescued after coming in to the shelter very matted as a stray. The family that rescued him took him in to save him, but they realized it wasn't the best match for long term. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Rogue is a 1–2-year-old Standard Poodle (possibly a doodle mix), but he appears to have mostly a beautiful poodle coat and a long, graceful tail! Rogue’s story started off rough - he was found as a stray, severely matted and emaciated. Thankfully, a kind family stepped in to get him to safety. They had him groomed, helped him gain weight, and reached out to us so we could help him find the forever home he deserves. ❤️ Rogue is affectionate, playful, and full of love. He adores people and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He’s good with older kids (he doesn’t quite realize his size yet!). Rogue is excellent in his crate, does well with supervised house training (as we do with all fosters), and is leash trained, though he can get a little excited and pull at times, so continued leash work will help. He knows some basic commands and is learning not to jump up, though when he does, it’s more like he is giving a hug. He is very food motivated and eager to please. Rogue will make someone an incredible, loyal, and loving companion. He’s ready for a family to call his own and a lifetime of adventures ahead! If interested in adding this sweet boy to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $350.
