Description:

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE Age: 4 months (as of 3/22/24) Weight: 23 lbs (as of 3/20/24) Location: RI This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Meet Red Hallmark, the epitome of sweetness, friendliness, and playfulness. This terrier mix puppy has a special fondness for toys, making every moment a delightful game. Whether it's a squeaky toy or a plushie, Red is always ready for a fun-filled adventure. But don't be fooled by his playful nature, he's also a gentle soul who loves nothing more than to snuggle up and give warm puppy kisses. He's living with two children another dog and a cat and doing well with all. Red is a bundle of joy and sweetness that will surely bring a daily dose of happiness to any home. He loves meeting new people! Being just a pup, he will have so much to learn! He has recently mastered crate training and has been exceling at house training as well! We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization with other furry friends. Adopting Red means welcoming an endless supply of love, laughter, and memorable moments. Give him a chance to make your home his forever home. Medical Note: A littermate of this dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. As there is thought to potentially be a genetic component to predisposition to this condition, this dog has been preventatively treated though does not currently show any bald patches and/or thin fur in places. Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (e.g., transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc.). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies. Please see here for more information on demodectic mange and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition. Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
