Female Dog, Husky

Husky / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see HERE Age: 2 1/2 months Weight: 5.3 pounds This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Blair Foyer and her brother Kai are joyful Husky mixes who have already overcome a lot during their short lives. Tragically, after a severe hookworm infestation, their littermates did not survive. But Blair and Kai recovered completely and are now happy and sturdy little puppies. They are currently living in an active foster home with an adult woman, a dog, and two cats. They love everyone, and have become great friends with the cats, in particular. They have not interacted with children yet, but they are so friendly that we have no reason to believe that they will have any issues. Blair and Kai love to play, and enjoy bitey-mouth and chasing each other. They bark happily during their games, and they also like squeakies and chew toys. But they are able to relax and chill out on your lap, too--and cuddling delights them! Blair and Kai are only babies, and their house, crate, and leash training have just begun. The puppies are very intelligent and eager to please, so they are already making great progress. They generally spend time together in an x-pen, in their crates, or running loose around the house with supervision. They enjoy riding in cars, and sit calmly in their crates. We recommend obedience training for all of our dogs, especially puppies. The two of you get to learn commands together and also have fun! These two affectionate and outgoing dogs will be successful in a wide variety of living situations. They are outgoing social butterflies who will bring a great deal of joy to their lucky new owners! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/ **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
