Ember is a beautiful young dog and has lots of fun energy. She really loves to play enjoys a good game of chase. She has been fabulous with my bigger dogs. She does play hard and can be a little rough with smaller dog. She is excellent on a leash and was timid on walks at first but has gained confidence and seems to enjoy walks more than she did when we first started working on her leash skills. She does not pull but she will try to get as far from moving cars as she can. She has been great with people, especially if she can have some space during introductions. She is not aggressive at all but seems to need to take her time getting to know people. Once she does, she is super affectionate and loves to give kisses (we are actually working on that). Her crate training has gone very well and she does not resist going in when I leave for work. I do leave a Kong or marrow bone in the crate with her and she can keep herself entertained. I have spoiled her and she does like to sleep on the bed but if I put a blanket on the floor for her she will generally stay there. She is very responsive to voice commands and knows how to sit. Things to consider: She is young and is still a chewer so it is best to make sure she has lots of good toys to chew and just carry around. You do not want to leave your favorite shoes out where she can get them. She has been known to steal papers off my desk so It is a good idea to do a little âEmber proofing.â I donât think she would be great with cats. I think it would be best not to leave her unattended with small dogs because she is such strong and energetic girl.
