Description:
PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email. If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions - drop us an email at [email protected]. If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our page called "Adoption Info." We answer email inquiries daily. GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs. GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!! Meet Jaeger! This handsome man came into rescue when his owner's job situation changed and he had to travel for work. He didn't want Jaeger to be home alone all the time so we took him on. Jaeger came in with a pretty bad case of fleas and some itchiness related to that, and those have been treated. He also had tapeworms from the fleas and those have been treated too! He had a condition called entropion where his eyelids were rolling inward towards his eyeballs, so he had surgery to correct that. Thankfully he tested negative for heartworms. Like most Mastiffs, Jaeger is very velcro and would do best in a home where someone is home part of the day. He lives with another Mastiff and cats currently and does well with them. He really prefers people over dogs. He'll follow you wherever you go, so something to consider when having a 220 lbs shadow. Due to his size he will not be placed with young chidlren and needs an owner who can handle a dog this size as he has no idea how big and strong he is! He's almost knocked his foster mom down. He is somewhat leash trained but can use more work on that. He rides well in the car. He does well in the house and is not at all destructive. He is not recommended for apartments or a home with stairs. Jaeger is being fostered in Tulsa, OK.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!
