Male Dog, Beagle

Beagle / Dachshund / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Valor - a whole lotta love in a little fuzzy package! Born 12/27/24, this half-beagle lovebug is ready to leap headfirst into his forever home—tail wagging, ears flopping, and nose twitching with excitement! Valor is the brave little leader of his litter, always the first to check out new toys, new smells, and new adventures. Whether he’s charging into a game of puppy tag, exploring his yard or stopping by for a quick kiss and a cuddle, this boy is all heart…and all adorable. His fuzzy little backside (yes, we’re talking about that baby-fat booty) just adds to his charm! Don’t let his confident streak fool you—Valor is super affectionate and never misses a chance for snuggles, or climbing into your lap like he owns it. Valor's mom is a small beagle (18 lbs), puppy growth charts estimate his adult size at a perfect 'medium' range of 30-ish lbs right now but are NOT highly reliable due to rapid growth this young and an unknown father. Our best guess based on how the litter is looking right now is that their other half might include some doxie/dachshund (but it is complete guesswork on our part). Please remember pups looks and personalities can change quite a bit as they grow up. They lose their puppy coats and growth estimates are notoriously unreliable when dealing with mixed breeds. Also note that puppies are LOTS of work. They cannot be alone for 8 hours a day, they chew EVERYTHING, they are physically not capable of 'holding' it for long periods until they mature and they're top skill is usually finding trouble no matter how well you think you've puppy-proofed your home. Given Valor's personality we think he'd do well with a social, active family who has the time and patience to work with a puppy. Since Valor is half beagle, he is probably not the best fit for a shared wall. He could be very vocal as an adult. Valor's adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, microchip, all age appropriate vaccines and prevention (flea, tick, heartworm). The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an adoption application today at our website www.pawsandprayers.org . ***IMPORTANT: Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites DO NOT submit as applications in our database, please complete an appliation on our website. Also, current/previous veterinarians NEED PERMISSION to speak with us ; if we are not able to speak with them, we cannot complete the review of your application.***
