Female Dog, German Wirehaired Pointer
German Wirehaired Pointer / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (Medium Coat)
Description:
Please contact Jamie ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. Meet Franzy, a delightful 6-month-old German Wire-Haired Pointer and Labrador Retriever mix, weighing 44 pounds, hailing from southern Ohio. Franzy is playful, outgoing, and friendly, particularly with other dogs. She possesses typical puppy energy and is currently working on her leash manners. She would likely thrive in a home with children, though her compatibility with cats remains unknown. Franzy has a histiocytoma located at the base of her tail; this benign tumor, composed of round cells, is common in young dogs. Fortunately, these tumors typically regress spontaneously over the course of weeks to months, and according to the veterinarian, no treatment is necessary as it will resolve on its own. The histiocytoma does not cause her any discomfort and resembles a hot spot. Her adoption fee is $350.00. All Paws and Prayers animals are up to date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee also includes spay / neuter and microchipping. Please complete a non-obligatory adoption application at https://pawsandprayers.org/adoption-application/ Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only. Resident pets of all applicants must have had routine veterinary care, be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines per the recommendations of your vet, current on heartworm tests and prevention (dogs only). We will verify these records; giving your veterinarian permission to speak with us will help expedite the processing of your application. Should your pet have a medical issue that may prohibit any of these, please note that on your application and we will also verify this with your veterinarian. Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.
