Female Dog, Black Mouth Cur

Black Mouth Cur / Whippet / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

MAYBELLE is a sweet mixed breed girl looking for a home. She is a friendly, loving medium-sized dog who loves people and treats. She's very energetic and playful and loves to soak up all of the love and attention you're willing to give. Maybelle's breed mix is a mystery. She has the blocky head of a bully breed or black mouth cur and the trim fine-boned body of a sighthound, maybe whippet? She's a Heinz 57 Varieties-type mixed breed dog. Maybelle is a lovely girl with big soulful eyes. She loves toys. She's good with older kids but may be too bouncy for kids under 6 or 7. She longs to be loved and will bond closely to her person. She would be happiest as an "only child" so she can soak up all of the love and play with all of the toys. Maybelle is about 3 years old and fully grown at 36 pounds. Maybelle is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Maybelle, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Maybelle at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
