He may possibly have the cutest nose I have ever seen!! We have been lucky to have been his foster home for about a month now. Upon returning to him when we need to be away, his excitement and energy is notable but settles down after you assure him with love. He plays great with our resident dog and does not have any resource guarding. Tarzan has been a loveable gentleman with our 3yr old niece and seems to always need to know where she is when she is visiting. He is very food motivated which helps him pick up new commands quickly. However, without the food reward he is a bit stubborn. We have been working on commands like sit and lay down, as well as his walking manners and his tendency to be a bit jumpy when he first sees you. He goes into his kennel without issues and remains calm with the occasional whining at the beginning. He is fully potty trained and only barks at the "intruding" delivery man. Tarzan is a great pup who just needs a little more attention and work to hone in his excitement and zest for life. 2/15/2024 Building Volunteer Feedback: Tarzan was a dream to work with on a leash! He walked very well and enjoys to people-watch. He is dealing with some jumping and overexcitement towards people, but once he settles down he can be a good cuddle buddy on the couch. He is very food motivated. We did some short training sessions to work on his jumping, and he is catching on fast! He has a lot of learning to do, but he is definitely one of a kind. And his name is very fitting for his personality! To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
