??? Meet Lyra – A Gentle Soul Searching for Patience and Love ???Some of you may remember Lyra, a sweet but timid girl who was adopted from ICAS back in August. Sadly, she was returned—through no fault of her own—when she didn’t instantly become the dog her new family had hoped for. ??At just 1 year and 7 months old, Lyra has already endured so much. She came from a less-than-ideal environment and is still learning that the world can be safe and kind. What she needs most is a family who understands that rescues—especially those like Lyra—must be given time, patience, and compassion to blossom at their own pace.Despite her past, Lyra’s heart is full of forgiveness and hope. ?? She loves cheese (her favorite treat! ??), walks beautifully on a leash, and is eager to trust and love her people when given the chance. After surviving chaos in her early life, she’s ready to spend the rest of her years surrounded by love, stability, and understanding.?? Lyra isn’t in our adoption kennels right now (they’re full), so if you’d like to meet her, please ask staff to introduce you.??
