I AM FEARFUL BECAUSE BEFORE I WAS RESCUED, I WAS KEPT IN A CRATE OUTSIDE WITHOUT ANY HUMAN INTERACTION. CAN YOU BLAME ME? I PLAY GREAT WITH DOGS, AND LIKELY WOULD DO BEST WITH A BUDDY IN THE HOME. I DO NEED AN ADOPTER WHO IS GOING TO SEEK PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, OR WILL CONTINUE WITH A RECOMMENED TRAINER FROM THE RESCUE. THIS IS GOING TO ENSURE MY SUCCESS! IF THERE IS A MALE (human) IN THE HOME, I WOULD POTENTIALLY DO OKAY IF THERE WAS ALSO A DOG IN THE HOME. I FIND COMFORT IN UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATIONS WHEN THERE IS A CANINE BUDDY I CAN BOND WITH AS WELL! IF INTERESTED, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO APPLY HERE OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION REACH OUT TO THE RESCUE AT WWW.CARA-NC.ORG * Special information regarding adopting Puppies * Our adoption fees are: * Altered Dogs older than 1 year old $250 * Altered Dogs between 6 months to a year $275 * Puppies under 6 months who have not been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption - $235 plus S/N Deposit: $ 100 Our policy is that all adopted animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving the premises. If at any time an animal under the age of 6 months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter agrees to have the animal being adopted spayed/neutered by a veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter contract. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease. Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs, & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment).
