Meet Autumn: A beautiful girl who will steal your heart! Autumn is a 5-month-old, 40 pound German Shepherd. She was owner-surrendered to Freedom German Shepherd Rescue, through no fault of her own, and is in the market for her new furever family. Autumn is an amazing pup with a kind heart. She loves going for long walks, playing in the backyard, and exploring new places. She loves meeting new people and enjoys getting lots of belly rubs and cuddles. Sometimes, when she’s meeting new friends, she gets a little overexcited and forgets to keep all four paws on the floor, wanting to give them a hug, but she quickly recovers and calms down.Autumn is a foodie who is still learning patience at meal times, but her motivation for food makes her easy to teach new tricks. She will work hard to be rewarded with a tasty treat! She is very smart, is already potty trained and loves to learn; she can sit, lay down, drop it, and is working on the rest of her basic obedience. She is a fast learner and would benefit from an adopter who is committed to continue teaching her to be the best dog she can be. Playtime is Autumn’s favorite part of the day! Whether it’s playing tag or wrestling with her 3 canine foster siblings, or a game of tug-of-war or fetch with her human companions, Autumn is excited to join in! Autumn would love a home with another dog to play with and learn from and is very friendly with new people as well but has not been tested with cats. She would do best having a fenced in yard but doesn't require one. At end of a busy day (or on a rainy Saturday), Autumn loves snuggling up with her humans for some downtime on the couch before retiring to her crate for bedtime.
