Female Dog, Maltese

Maltese / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (Short Coat)

Description:

Maya is a 1-year-old Maltipoo who weighs 7 lb. Maya is a happy and active little girl. She could be an only dog or have another dog in the home who is under 15 lbs. Maya would do best with someone who can match her energy level and enjoys daily walks. She is doing great with house, crate and leash training, but she will need someone patient who can continue working with her to be successful. Maya is quick and can get under your feet easily, which could be a tripping hazard for those with balance issues. Maya enjoys playing with toys and can keep herself entertained, at the same time, she is still very much a pup and will chew on rugs and electrical cords if they strike her fancy; however, Maya is easily redirected. She is smart and very trainable and would be a joy for someone who wants to teach a dog tricks. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME (NO CHILDREN) WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 1.5 inches and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
