Meet Novalee! Novalee is a 2-year-old Maltese with a BIG personality packed into a 9-pound fuzz ball. She is a highly opinionated little diva who is not afraid to boss you around - in fact, she prefers it! Novalee is judgmental of strangers (who can blame her!), but when she knows you, get ready for an incredibly affectionate little shadow who will claim her rightful place as Queen of your heart. Novalee is house trained, crate trained, and gets along just fine with both dogs and cats. She would not do well in a home with young children, so her ideal match would be a quieter household where she gets to define the social hierarchy, enact the laws (always more treats), and rule judiciously from her throne (your lap). If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a royal-sized personality, a flair for the dramatic, and plenty of love to give once you’re officially approved by the council, Novalee might just be your girl. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
