Male Dog, Chihuahua

Chihuahua / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Jingle Jingle is a 28-pound mixed-breed boy and very much a “best guess” blend of cuteness and charm. While we know he’s a senior, we don’t know his exact age—our best estimate is somewhere between 8–10 years old. Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain: he’s a gentle soul ready for a peaceful new chapter. Before entering our rescue, Jingle was neglected and had a difficult life. As a result, he does have some ongoing medical needs. The good news is that with his daily medications, he’s doing well. As a senior, he may also require additional dental care down the road to keep him comfortable and healthy. What he needs most now isn’t excitement or adventure—it’s stability, kindness, and love. He would thrive in a quiet, low-stress home with a cozy spot to relax and feel safe, and with someone who understands senior dogs and is committed to his continued care. Jingle tolerates other dogs in his space, but he can be protective over toys and human attention. Because of this, any canine companion should be calm and submissive to help set him up for success. While he enjoys his downtime, Jingle also loves going for short leash walks where he can follow his nose and take in all the interesting scents around him. Slow, sniff-filled strolls are his idea of a perfect outing. Jingle is looking for someone who will see past his history and focus on who he is today: a loyal, grateful companion who simply wants to spend his days being cared for and loved. If you are interested in adopting Jingle, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
