Male Dog, Terrier

Terrier / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Notes from my adventure buddies and foster friends:`Timid at first. Then very hyperactive, still timid towards strangers. Loves chasing balls. Good in the car. Very playful and plays independently well. He is a jumper. He gets very excited for treats. He's friendly, good on leash, and curious.``Wallaby may be tiny, but he is full of energy. Once he gets comfortable he loves to run, play with toys, and jump around. He loves to roll his body around on you and it was super funny. He also loves to give kisses. He is super sweet and would definitely be a loyal pet. I like how social Wallaby is. He always liked to follow someone around inside and feel included. When we ate lunch he was right up in our business patiently waiting to see if he would get some food. He also likes to sit on the couch with you.Wallaby is going to make your home much happier. He is sweet, affectionate, and responds well to love. Wallaby is happy in the car and seems to get along great with other dogs. He's clumsy in a cute way! Willl likely do well with other pets (he's not an Alpha but can handle himself). He already listens well and could be trained even better. He's a little jumpy, though he doesn't beg for food, and takes instructions well. You can see he really wants to please you.He wags his tail in such a cute way, and you can tell he's happy and loving.``Very playful, loves the water and to go swimming. Was generally good with strangers except after being very excited by play and then barked/pulled. Very food driven and loves to roll around with a stick.``He was great super fun and sweet dog!``He walks well, he is very curious about other people and likes to chase squirrels. Responds decent when called or redirected with treats or toy. He’ll stand still if he seems something he’s unsure about, does well in car rides, stays standing the whole time, loves to chew on toys.``Wallaby is sooo sweet!! He really loves people, and thrived while on his walk. You can tell he's genuinely just a good boy and wants to have fun. Wallaby got to pick out a treat and toy at Pet Supplies Plus, then we headed on a hike. He was super good and got a pup cup afterwards.``Wallaby is super energetic. He loves rolling on the grass and running around. He also loves to play in the water! He pulls on the leash while walking but if u stop midway, he sits and waits for you. Wallaby looks up at you while walking!``Wallaby came to our house for a Dog Day Out. He's a super nice dog. He does have a lot of energy that needs to be channeled. He was pretty rambunctious inside the house. We played tug of war and he really enjoyed that, although he's very jumpy and he did get mouthy with me at times, especially when it was time to take a break (because he didn't want to). I used a thick ski glove to protect my hand although he thought that was a toy too so it was a bit challenging. He also likes to grab stuff and shake it around like a rag doll when he gets excited, so some dog-proofing is recommended. He will sit for a treat but he seems to be more toy-motivated than anything else. Wallaby really liked my daughter, who is 9. He was very good around her and did not jump on her or nip at her - I think he only did that with me because he identified me as the playmate. That said, he might be a little much for a young child. Outside of the house, Wallaby was much more chill. When things got too intense inside, we took him in the backyard and he settled down. We also went on two walks, one of which was pretty long. He walks beautifully on a leash - I have probably done 10 Dog Day Outs and he's the best leash walker I've had so far. We didn't see any other dogs on the walk but we did run into my neighbor and he was all lovey-dovey with her. We really enjoyed having Wallaby spend the day with us and he's a great dog. He is a smart guy so he'll need some mental stimulation along with an outlet for his physical energy, but he'll be well worth it for anyone who provide that.`My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!
