Description:
I was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I am cautious of new people and environments so I'll need people to go slow with me and be patient as I adjust to my surroundings. I am a beautiful girl.Foster notes on Soda Pop:`Soda Pop can be very shy at first but she warms up fast. On the first day we took her out, it was only a few hours until she was begging for more pets and trying to cuddle up in our laps. We brushed her in our backyard and she sat very well the whole time. She is very hesitant on walks and needs a confident person by her side to encourage her. She often pauses on walks when she sees another person or hears a noise. When she sees another dog she may bark lightly under her breath but she doesnât get loud or excitable. She definitely is less nervous walking in areas with fewer people, bikes, and vehicles, but sheâs been adjusting quickly to be more confident in new environments. She sits very nicely when waiting for her food and in general, responds immediately to corrections for jumping or mouthing by sitting. She needs a little more encouragement with going into the crate, but she is very calm and relaxed once sheâs in. Soda Pop is very smart and is learning and adjusting very quickly in just the few days she's been with us. We love how sweet and cuddly she is.`
