I came to OCAS as a stray so my history is mostly a mystery. I am friendly and hoping to find my forever family!Insights from my adventure buddies and foster friends:Shadow gets an A+ for his dog day out! He's very friendly and affectionate, he just wants to love on you and be loved on. He is gentle and good with children. Shadow was also a very polite houseguest and his manners were impeccable -- no jumping, no begging at the table, no counter surfing or taking things that weren't his, seems to be fully housetrained. He sits for treats and we also practiced down, which he started to get the hang of pretty quickly. He wants to work.Shadow was also very alert to the sights, sounds, and smells around him. He spent some time patrolling the house and the backyard while he was here. Seems like he'd be a good watchdog in addition to being a good family dog. We also went on a long walk and he did good on a leash. Despite being very attentive to his surroundings, he would periodically check back in with us. He didn't meet anybody on the walk, but he was not reactive to people that went by. He pulled a bit on the leash when he saw other dogs but did not bark or lunge or anything like that. He didn't pull much otherwise. In general, he was pretty easy to walk. Overall, we can't recommend Shadow enough and it seems like he'd be very easy to integrate into a new home.``Shadow is quiet and confident! He is very well mannered and polite and affectionate. He did great in the car and was very curious about people on our walk, but not rude. We took Shadow a long walk along Bolin Creek, where he loved the shade and the grass. Lots of great smells! Then we went to an outdoor café and he sat quietly under the table while we ate. Shadow did not make a peep, but was very engaged and curious about the world.
