Description:

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!DOG DAY OUT INSIGHTS:`Me and Megan hiked Occoneechee and she was amazing! So many people stopped to tell her what a good girl she was and I couldn’t agree more, she is the sweetest girl ever.``Megan came and stayed with us for a 2-day sleepover. She was a joy to have. She’s extremely intelligent, well behaved, and was so polite in our home. She’s mid-size, and is not a dog who knocks things over or makes a mess. She engages eye contact, is very attuned to her people, or person. She does not jump. She waits for permission to get on the couch or bed. She knows “sit”. She is very good with “no”, or even just a slight lowering of tone of voice. She is a love bug. Absolutely loves to snuggle, wants to be right next to you. She loves lounging with her people. She’s happy to play also…will go get a toy if you throw it, enjoys tug of war. She hasn’t gotten the return part of fetch down yet but it would be easy to teach her, she’s super smart. She knows “go for a walk” and “go for a ride”. She’s excellent in the car…there’s no frantic pacing or whining. She sat in the backseat totally happy. I mostly took her for walks on trails, once I ran with her for 1/2 mile to see how she’d do. She paced beautifully. This girl is gentle and sweet. She was happy to use the crate when I had an appointment to go to. I feel sure she’d be fine to sleep in a dog bed, or whatever you asked of her. I let her sleep on my bed and she gladly curled up next to me and never moved an inch all night.` `Megan is a wonderful dog. We took her on a 3-mile hike at Blackwood Farm Park. She hopped right into the car and immediately snuggled up with me on the back seat. She loved hiking through the woods and meadows at the park, and kept up a good pace, only stopping occasionally to check out something on the side of the trail. She was pretty good on the leash too, pulling lightly when excited, but always stopping and turning back when we said her name. It is clear that Megan really loves people - she accepted us immediately and didn't show any anxiety at all. We didn't see any other dogs, but Megan was very happy to meet a middle school age girl, and seems very good with children. She clearly loved being on a Dog Day Out adventure. She is a lot of fun to be around because she is so happy and affectionate. We really enjoyed our time with her.` `Megan was a joy to walk. She is super friendly and loves giving kisses. She pulled on leash at first but then walked well with a slight pull on the leash. She liked sniffing and jumped up on the bench with us when we stopped....and gave kisses. She was friendly towards the people we passed.``She was very good at her walk pulled a little bit when seeing other dogs but nothing that made me uncomfortable. She sat at the back seat in the car for a 30 minutes drive with no problem, didn’t bark and didn’t refuse to get on the car off the car etc. overall very smart and pleasant dog. She wanted a lot of hugs and gave many kisses. We went for a 4 mile walk around lake Johnson and she loved it! She was very excited to explore every little spot and smell everything. She was nice and calm in the car.``Megan is the most perfect dog. We originally took her for a doggy day out, and loved her so much we asked for her to be able to have a sleepover with us! She loves to be close to people and snuggle. We went on a long walk, and she did amazing and enjoyed all the smells. We also took her to Starbucks and got her a Pup Cup, which she loved! Only barked when the doorbell rang and loved every guest that came through the door. She would be the perfect family dog. If we weren’t college students, we would have 100% adopted her. It was one of the hardest goodbyes. She loves anyone she meets. Thinks she’s a lap dog and will snuggle you for hours. When she meets people, her tail wags at 100 miles a minute out of excitement. Megan is absolutely perfect.`Dog Day Out Personal Information: Megan enjoys hikes and walks in wooded areas where she can smell all the things! We noted Megan is fine walking by dogs as long as they do not get into her personal space. She'd be best as an only dog. Megan would also prefer not to live with cats either.
