Hello! I am a very sweet boy, and I LOVE toys. I came to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me. I have an old injury to my spine that makes me walk a little funny, but I am a happy boy regardless and I will make some human(s) feel very lucky to have me! I have heartworms and the shelter staff can tell you more about my treatment if you are interested in adopting me.In North Carolina, it's unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites). Heartworm disease may cause severe lung disease, heart failure, or other organ damage in dogs. It's usually fatal if left untreated. Heartworm treatment is costly.
