Female Dog, Pit Bull Terrier

Pit Bull Terrier (Medium Coat)

Description:

I came to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I am the SWEETEST girl! Shelter staff immediately started talking about how sweet I am after they met me. Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive, but don't worry - OCAS will cover the cost of my treatment! Ask the front for more information! In North Carolina, it's unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites). Heartworm disease may cause severe lung disease, heart failure, or other organ damage in dogs. It's usually fatal if left untreated. Heartworm treatment is costly. With your support, OCAS can help more dogs with this disease - resulting in healthier dogs that are even more likely to get adopted. Please consider donating to our GoFundMe campaign.INSIGHTS FROM MY FREINDS/FOSTER/ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Coffee is not only sweet but also unbelievably smart. Coffee will shower you with lots of love and licks whenever she has a chance. She likes to chew on grass when walking and loved after-walk training session (she learned paw!) Coffee is not a shy dog at all, she wants to say hello to other dogs and is always ready to start playing. Given enough space she will run and roll around with other furry friends and show you what it means to be “young and energetic”. She is very aware of her surroundings and good at reading the room. With that being said, Coffee was either taking a nap or munching on her bully stick very enthusiastically when we were working. Coffee stops by very gently to remind you about a water break and her bio-break. She will be on your lap and adorably fall asleep when you are laying on a couch. Her ears are super soft to stroke with and will help you decompress as you start your slow evening. Overall, we believe Coffee will thrive in a household with a good structure and presence. She deserves good loving pawrents!``Cuddly, extremely friendly, and loves pets. We first took a 2.5 mile hike along the pumpkin trail. Coffee was full of energy and will pull some and is quite strong, but she is redirectable and with some leadership, patience, and practice she would do well really well on on walks. She did have some reactivity to other dogs, but didn't bark or growl. After our hike we went to Weaver street and she did great staying nearby as we had lunch. We then rested at home and she loved being with us. She would be curious and would follow us as we went about our day. She house broken and didn't have any accidents in our home and was the perfect house guest. Coffee is so affectionate and friendly to any person she meets, young or old. Also she is very quiet and doesn't bark or growl much. She is the perfect companion ready to give and receive love.`My adoption fee has been fully sponsored.Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!
