Description:
I am a very sweet girl that was surrendered to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me. I did such a great job duing my intake process (exam & vaccines), staff members remarked on how sweet I was in my exam notes. I do have heartworms, and the staff can talk to you about that if you're interested in adopting me!In North Carolina, it's unfortunately common to see many dogs that are infected with heartworms (they are transmitted by mosquito bites). Heartworm disease may cause severe lung disease, heart failure, or other organ damage in dogs. It's usually fatal if left untreated. Heartworm treatment is costly. With your support, OCAS can help more dogs with this disease - resulting in healthier dogs that are even more likely to get adopted. She absolutely loves spending time in the backyard and was the best sleeping buddy, always ready to cuddle and happy to get up with me whether it was 7 a.m. or 1 p.m. She has a playful personality and did great on car rides, enjoying looking out the window. At home, she was well-behaved and did fine being left alone for a few hours without getting into anything. Chloe also loves meeting new people, doesnât bark much, and overall was an amazing, well-behaved companion. My favorite thing about Chloe is how loving and cuddly she is. She can go from taking a long walk with me to napping on my chest for hours, perfectly matching my energy, no matter the activity. I also love how deeply she connects with you; it truly feels like she looks into your eyes and understands.`Notes from Chloe's walking buddy:`I had a wonderful walk with Chloe this morning! She was so happy to be outside and was very playful. She had some zoomies early on and loved to throw herself down in the grass and roll around, but after her initial excitement she settled down on leash nicely. Because she was loving the grass so much we ended our walk with a little time in the play yard so she could run around in the grass. Chloe was very sweet and playful and has so much joy to share! She's simply the best.``Chloe is very sweet and wants to say hi to everyone. She is very curious and high energy. We walked on a trail, napped, played inside, got a pup cup. She is very friendly.`
