Please consider giving Sally now known as Roxy the home that she deserves. She was adopted from Best Friend Pet Adoption as a young puppy into a home that gave her a wonderful life. Sadly, her owner suddenly passed away on Christmas Day while taking their normal morning walk. Roxy now needs to find a new home. Sally (Roxy) can be timid with new people especially now that she misses her owner. She will need time to settle in but once she does, she will be your loyal friend. Once she bonds with you, she will be at your side...giving you her adorable smile! She gets along fine with other dogs once she gets to know them. She may be intimated by a large dog. She is currently living with a smaller dog and is doing fine. Roxy prefers human companionship, so would be fine as a solo dog. In her previous home. she was a solo dog who loved her people. She is housebroken and crate trained. She likes long walks and does well with a harness. Sally doesn't need a fenced yard since she is used to going on walks for her potty breaks. Her ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the time since she is not used to be alone for long periods of time. She has not been around cats or children and would do best in a calm environment. Please consider giving Roxy a new home where she can be showered with love and affection. Applicants must live no further than one hour from Raleigh/Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian /volunteer for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within one hour drive of Raleigh/Cary NC.
