Description:

Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue. Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website. Text (828) 417-2368 or email [email protected] for more information or to adopt the pet.Gretal is an extra special pup! Don’t let the missing front leg fool you; she loves to run, play and even dig. She’s also A-okay with kicking back and hanging out on the couch. Gretal has never met a stranger; she loves people. She wants all attention on her - pets, kisses and cuddles! Gretal was unfortunately hit by a car a few years ago, which resulted in her front leg being amputated. She does not let that hold her back though! She’s a great pup, house-trained and knows basic commands. She has good leash manners, but sometimes gets excited on leash to meet new people and other dogs and will pull. Gretal has lived with other dogs, cats and free roaming bunnies and loves them all! Unfortunately, Gretal has anxiety around younger kids and babies, so will need to be in a home without children under 8. We are having to find Gretal a new home after a bite, provoked, by my one-year-old. She has never shown any other signs of aggression or had any other bites in the 5 years we’ve had her. Gretal loves treats, but she mainly loves pets and love! She has no allergies or food intolerances. To learn more about sweet Gretal or to meet her text (828) 417-2368 or email [email protected]! All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
