Terrier / Mixed

Description:

Hello there! My name is Dude, and I'm a charming one-year-old mixed-breed dog eagerly awaiting my forever home. I'm a handsome, medium-sized guy, weighing about 40 lbs.I have a highly desirable moderate energy level, meaning I love to go on hikes and walks, play fetch and hang outdoors, but I'm also a fan of snuggling with my humans on the couch for a Netflix marathon and taking day time naps. Need to take me somewhere? I'm happy to hop in the backseat of your car and snooze until we arrive.Toys are my jam, and I'm content to chew on a bully stick or bene bone on the floor while you scroll the web. Please take breaks for belly rubs though, because I am friendly and affectionate and I love human touch. You can hug me and kiss my face. You can touch my paws, mouth and ears and I won't flinch even a little bit. My foster mom says she can tell I'm a good boy because she flips me upside down in her arms and kisses my belly. I'm a young guy, still learning the rules of the house, but I am fully potty trained and I sleep soundly through the night. I've practiced both sleeping on a dog bed on the floor and in my crate. I'm still working to tolerate the crate but have done well being left alone in the home with the resident dog. If you need to crate me for a long time, you can help me manage with medication, or breaks with a dog walker. In my foster home, I live with an 11 year old kid and another dog. I love playing and spending time with both of them. I don't bark much and I'm easy going. I am quite interested in chasing small animals in the yard (like squirrels), so a home with cats and other small animals may not be ideal for me. I've started attending doggy day care a few days a week and love it there! My veterinarian tells me I'm in excellent health. I've been neutered, microchipped and I'm up to date on all vaccinations. I get regular heartworm and flea prevention medicine. My adoption fee is $200 and you can apply to meet me at MPRAVL.ORG ! All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at [email protected] for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
