Description:

Carlos was born around 10/20/2024. He came to us from Valley River Humane in Marble, NC with his 2 litter mates. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and snuggly pup to share your life with, Carlos might just be your perfect match. This well-rounded young guy has an energy level of 5 out of 10 — just the right mix of playful and chill. He’s the type who’ll happily join you for a walk, then melt into your lap for a cuddle session.Carlos gets along well with other dogs and is wonderfully non-pushy. While he’s not into grumpy pups, he’d love a friendly, affectionate dog sibling (though it’s not a must). He hasn’t shown any prey drive, and we’re not sure yet how he is with cats or kids, but his gentle, observant nature suggests he’d be open to learning. He’s a fast learner who’s motivated by food and he really wants to please — always watching his person for cues. With a little guidance, he’s going to thrive. Potty training is going well, especially with dog doors, though he might need a little help in a new home to fully master the routine. While he’s still a pup and enjoys the occasional toy-shredding adventure, Carlos isn’t destructive — just curious and playful. In public? He’s a total angel. Calm, well-mannered, and absolutely adorable.Carlos doesn’t need a yard, just a loving home where he can feel safe, learn, and get lots of affection. If you’re ready for a dog who loves to cuddle, is eager to learn, and is just an all-around good boy, Carlos is waiting to meet you.Carlos is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and started on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $350, and you can apply to adopt at mountainpetrescueavl.org. Thank you for looking! All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
