Description:

Did a twist of Fate bring you to this page? Either way, we sure are glad you’re here—meet ten-year-old sweetheart Fate! We fell head over heels for Fate’s silky-soft fur, her perfect rolls and her sweet, wrinkled face. This gal loves everyone she meets and will greet all new friends with a wiggly body and big smile on her face. She is a big fan of catch and especially loves her plush toys. She would also be quite happy to curl up on the couch and snooze the day away. Here at the Adoption Center, the busy streets of Manhattan have been a little overwhelming for Fate, so she’s hoping her adopter understands that she may need some time, patience and love to get adjusted to the sights and sounds of the outdoors. It is recommended that Fate lives in a low-traffic area. Fate would be a great fit for most families. Fate would need to meet other dogs one-on-one, and a Matchmaker can help with you best practices for introductions. A Matchmaker can give you tips on how to set Fate up for housetraining success. If the stars have aligned and you and Fate seem to be connected by an invisible string, click on the “Adopt Me” button to fill out an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/924dfd80-69ee-4dbf-8d3b-b00aaf90278e *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.* For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**
