Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal. Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY. Introducing JR, a charming 4-year-old resident of St. Francis Farm whose journey speaks of growth, transformation, and the power of a loving environment. JR's story is one of second chances and the beauty of finding one's place in a world that understands and cherishes individuality. JR's arrival at St. Francis Farm alongside his sister Pixie marked a new chapter in their lives. With a bit of a past, JR reminds us that we all carry experiences that shape who we are. At our sanctuary, he has found a safe haven where his past doesn't define him, and his future is brimming with possibility. While JR might not be quick to embrace new faces, his heart is a wellspring of love and affection for those he knows well. His warm interactions with the staff he's familiar with highlight his ability to form deep connections and his appreciation for the people who understand and care for him. JR's interactions with his canine companions are a testament to his friendly nature. He thrives in the company of his fellow dogs, finding joy in running around the yard and engaging in spirited play. His ability to connect with his four-legged friends showcases the universal language of companionship that transcends words. JR's journey serves as a reminder that each individual has a unique story to tell, and every being deserves a chance to be seen for who they truly are.
