Rex is available for adoption, and he is just the cutest little guy! This 1‑year‑old Shih Tzu mix (to our best guess!) weighs only 9 pounds and came to us with his sister Tootie. They won’t be adopted together, so each can find their perfect match — and Rex is so ready to meet his person. Rex is a total sweetheart. He’s incredibly loving, snuggly, and affectionate, always looking for attention and happily soaking up every bit of love he can get. He adored meeting kids at an event and enjoys playing with other small dogs. Big dogs can be a little intimidating at first, but once he realizes they’re friendly, he warms right up. He loves to wrestle, play, and be part of the fun. He’s working on his leash skills and getting better every day. Rex is crate trained and doing well with housetraining, though he’ll need a little patience and consistency as he settles into a new home. A fully fenced yard is preferred for him — no invisible fences — so he can safely explore and play. Rex is either cuddled up with his foster mom or zooming around with another dog. Toys and chewies are a must for this playful little guy! He rides nicely in the car and was recently professionally groomed. He’ll need regular grooming to keep him comfortable and looking adorable.
