Female Dog, Basset Hound
Basset Hound / Terrier / Mixed
Description:
She’s only 8.5 months old, sweet, loyal, obedient, and truly thriving. She’s unbelievably loving… and still waiting for someone to look past a megaesophagus diagnosis and see all of her PERFECT qualities. Caddie is the kind of dog who quietly crawls into your lap, nuzzles her entire head into you, and sighs like she’s finally home. She loves routine, loves mealtime, loves play, and just wants to be close to her people. Now fully decompressed, we’ve learned she’s even more gentle and affectionate than we ever imagined. She’s potty trained and friendly with everyone she meets, humans, kids, dogs, and cats. Yes, Caddie has megaesophagus. The name sounds intimidating, but her care is simple and manageable. She eats on a routine, relaxes in her crate afterward while her food settles (usually sleeping it off), and she has been perfect on it. No vomiting. No issues. She’s about 30 lbs of floppy ears and pure love, yet she keeps getting overlooked because of a word that sounds scarier than the reality. Caddie isn’t “hard.” She’s easy to love, and she’s ready for someone to finally choose her.
