Description:
*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Meet Sumisan, the sweetest Pyr-Poodle mix you'll ever encounter! This handsome boy rocks a gorgeous curly Pyr look that's sure to turn heads wherever he goes. With a mild activity level and the gentlest disposition, Sumisan is absolutely perfect for anyone seeking a loving companion who doesn't ask for much beyond endless affection and belly rubs. His foster mom can't stop raving about how wonderful he is—and once you meet him, you'll understand why! Sumisan comes with an impressive resume of good manners: he's crate trained, walks well on leash, and knows paw, sit, wait, and come. He's a confident, laid-back pup who has shown no fears or dislikes thus far, making him an absolute joy to have around. This easy-going boy loves being both inside and outdoors, and he's quite the professional at his perimeter walks to make sure everything is safe and sound at home. He's a fantastic car rider and actually enjoys being brushed because it means extra attention from his favorite humans! When it comes to living arrangements, Sumisan does well with a 4-foot fence and has zero interest in escaping—he's perfectly content in his kingdom! He would do well with a female canine companion, or as an only dog. Sumisan meets new people with friendliness and grace, and prefers a calmer household. He's not a digger or chewer and isn't destructive at all, though he can be protective of his food, so just let him dine separately from other dogs. This cheese-loving connoisseur (seriously, cheese is his absolute favorite!) enjoys a bit of playtime followed by even more naptime. His ideal home would have older or teen children, access to both indoor and outdoor spaces, and humans who appreciate a gentle, protective companion who loves treats, pets, and making sure his family is safe. If you're looking for a sweet, confident, and loving gentle giant who will steal your heart, Sumisan is your guy! National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
