Male Dog, Great Pyrenees

Great Pyrenees (Long Coat)

Description:

*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Oso is a handsome young Great Pyrenees boy with stunning black eyeliner and an adorably extra curly tail who is currently in boarding and seeking a foster or forever home! This cute bundle of big puppy energy is as sweet as they come, with a happy disposition and an endless desire for love and attention from his people. Oso gets along wonderfully with other dogs and currently shares a pen with his sister, though he can be a bit bossy with her at times like typical siblings. He's still learning his leash manners and pulls a little during walks, but he's just a puppy who doesn't know any better yet and is eager to learn! When it comes to cats, Oso's curiosity gets the best of him and he'll chase if they run, but when meeting a calm cat on the ground, he was gentle and just wanted to give a friendly sniff. This lovable boy would do best in a home with a 5-foot fence to keep him safe, and a family ready to embrace his affectionate, playful personality. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will greet each day with enthusiasm and shower you with sweetness, Oso might just be your PYR-fect match! National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
