Female Dog, Great Pyrenees

Great Pyrenees / Mixed (Medium Coat)

Description:

Meet Jade, a stunning young Great Pyrenees mix who's ready to bring joy and devotion to her forever home! This beautiful girl was discovered in Tennessee as a stray, running alongside her two daughters, and she's proven to be an absolutely wonderful companion. Jade is a smart, confident, and affectionate pup who loves nothing more than sharing hugs and cuddles with her favorite people. She's wonderfully well-mannered—fully housebroken, crate trained, and walks well on leash. Jade already knows several commands including "heal," "stop," "down," "sit," and gets especially excited when she hears "dinner" or "eat!" With her medium-length, soft fur that she adores having brushed, she's as pleasant to pet as she is pretty. Jade is a true alpha female with a protective streak, always keeping watch over her loved ones, so she'll need a home with a secure 5-foot fence (as this athletic girl can clear anything shorter!). While she's devoted to her puppies and enjoys their company, her foster family is working on helping her become more comfortable with other dogs. This social girl has no fears or dislikes - she’s a happy, attention-loving pup with a fondness for pork chops! If you're looking for a loving, intelligent guardian who'll fill your days with affection and conversation, Jade is waiting to meet you! National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
