Valkyrie is a one-year-old dog with a quiet spirit and a heart that’s still learning how to feel safe. He’s very timid and not comfortable with hands-on touch yet, but he is making progress—especially with leash training, which he’s just beginning to understand. Valkyrie will need a truly special home: one that’s patient, calm, and committed to helping a shy dog build confidence at his own pace. His future family must be willing to follow specific protocols and work closely with one of our trainers to support his ongoing rehabilitation. Consistency and understanding will be key to his success. While Valkyrie isn’t the kind of dog who will jump into your arms right away, he has the potential to form deep, meaningful bonds with people who respect his boundaries and celebrate small victories. Watching him learn to trust will be incredibly rewarding for the right adopter. If you have experience with fearful dogs—or are ready to learn with guidance—and can offer a stable, low-pressure environment, Valkyrie may be the dog who quietly changes your life.
