Sakari is a special dog who will need a very special home. She is extremely fearful and has clearly spent a long time living on the streets, which has shaped her independent nature. Because of this, Sakari will not be placed in just any home. Her adopter must be patient, experienced, and willing to work closely with a professional trainer to help her continue building trust and confidence. Despite her fears, Sakari is very intelligent and observant, and she shows great potential with the right guidance and structure. She will do best in a calm, understanding environment where expectations are realistic and progress is allowed to happen at her pace. Sakari isn’t for everyone—but for the right person committed to giving her the time, training, and compassion she needs, she has the potential to be an incredibly rewarding companion.
