Meet Sophia – The Brainy Beauty With a Big Heart Sophia is a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix who’s equal parts sweetheart and overachiever. This smart cookie already knows sit, stay, down, come, and shake—basically a whole resume of good manners. “Leave it” is… a work in progress and she may need a gentle reminder to take treats politely, but hey, when you’re this treat motivated, it’s hard to contain the excitement. Affection is Sophia’s love language. She’s generous with kisses, happy to soak up attention, and bonds quickly with her people. She walks well on leash, enjoys car rides like a seasoned road-trip buddy, and is reportedly crate trained—she knows how to relax when it’s time to settle.Sophia came to the shelter due to a family separation, not anything she did wrong. Her previous owners shared that she was friendly with adults, kids, and other dogs, stayed put (no escape artist here!), and enjoyed being part of the family. Cats, however, are a little too spooky for her—so a feline-free home would be best.
