Description:

Hi! My name is Tigger and I am looking for a forever home. I am one of several dogs that were surrendered to a small rescue after our owner had to go into assisted living and was unable to keep any of us. A volunteer with that rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes ... yeah!. We are a collection of dogs that she has rescued over the years and we were all pretty scared when we first came into foster but everyone has been so nice and patient with us that we are all coming out of our shells; my foster mom says I'm doing much better but as the most scared of us, I am still learning to trust, but once I do love being held and just being near you. I am a small chihuahua mix at just around 12-13lbs, and at about 2 years old I shouldn't get any bigger. I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met but the verdict is out on cats so maybe a home without them would be best. I was so scared when I first came in that I was being real picky about eating, but my foster mom tried a couple of different foods and now I am enjoying breakfast and dinner as well as getting treats which I take gently. I have done well in my crate which I share with one of my friends without any accidents, barking or tearing up of bedding. I'm not good on leash as my previous owner said she never had me on one so I will need a fenced yard in order to take care of my business. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
